Nextopia บนชั้น 5 และ 5A ของ Siam Paragon คือหนึ่งในโครงการ Retail Experience ที่ใหญ่และล้ำสมัยที่สุดของประเทศไทย ภายใต้แนวคิดการสร้างพื้นที่ที่ผสานเทคโนโลยี ศิลปะ และประสบการณ์ของผู้ใช้งานเข้าไว้ด้วยกัน ครอบคลุมพื้นที่กว่า 22,000 ตารางเมตร ตั้งแต่โซนจัดแสดงสินค้า พื้นที่กิจกรรม Interactive Exhibition ไปจนถึง Event Space สำหรับ Live Performance และ Special Event

ด้วยพื้นที่ขนาดใหญ่ที่แบ่งออกเป็นหลายชั้นและหลายรูปแบบการใช้งาน ระบบเสียงจึงต้องสามารถรองรับทั้ง Background Music, Public Event, Live Performance และ Special Activation ได้ภายในระบบเดียว พร้อมสามารถควบคุมทุกพื้นที่จากศูนย์กลางได้อย่างยืดหยุ่น

สำหรับโครงการนี้ Aura Visual System รับหน้าที่ออกแบบระบบเสียง ขณะที่งานติดตั้งและ System Integration ดำเนินการโดย Alba Integrate โดยเลือกใช้โซลูชันจาก Allen & Heath ซึ่งจัดจำหน่ายและสนับสนุนโดย Sonos Libra เพื่อสร้างระบบ Backbone ระดับ Enterprise ที่รองรับการใช้งานในปัจจุบัน พร้อมรองรับการขยายระบบในอนาคต

หัวใจของระบบคือ Allen & Heath AHM-64 Audio Matrix Processor ซึ่งทำหน้าที่เป็นศูนย์กลางในการบริหารจัดการ Routing, Zone Control และ Preset Management สำหรับพื้นที่ทั้งหมดของ Nextopia ทั้งชั้น 4, ชั้น 5 และชั้น 5A โดยมี AHM-16 ทำหน้าที่ควบคุมพื้นที่ Floor 4 และ AHM-64 สำหรับพื้นที่หลักของโครงการ ทำให้ทุกโซนสามารถทำงานร่วมกันได้อย่างสมบูรณ์ พร้อมแยกการควบคุมแต่ละพื้นที่ได้อย่างอิสระ

เพื่อรองรับระบบ Audio over IP ทั้งโครงการ ได้ติดตั้ง Dante Card 64x64, Dante Card 32x32, DX88-P, DT168 และ DT22 Dante Interfaces เพื่อเชื่อมต่อเข้ากับเครือข่าย Dante ทำให้สามารถรับส่งสัญญาณเสียงระหว่างห้อง Rack, Event Space และทุกพื้นที่ผ่าน Dante Audio Network ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ลดความซับซ้อนของการเดินสาย และรองรับการเพิ่มอุปกรณ์หรือปรับเปลี่ยน Routing ได้อย่างยืดหยุ่น

สำหรับงาน Live Event และ Concert ได้ติดตั้ง Allen & Heath SQ-5 Digital Mixer เพื่อรองรับการเชื่อมต่อระบบเสียงจากศิลปิน โดยสามารถส่งสัญญาณเข้าสู่ระบบ Backbone ผ่าน Dante ได้โดยตรง ทำให้ทีมงานสามารถสลับการทำงานระหว่างระบบ Background Music และ Live Production ได้อย่างรวดเร็ว โดยไม่กระทบต่อการทำงานของพื้นที่อื่น

การควบคุมระบบทั้งหมดทำได้ผ่าน Allen & Heath CC-10 IP Remote Controllers ที่ติดตั้งกระจายอยู่ทั่วโครงการมากถึง 11 จุด พร้อม Custom Control Application ที่ออกแบบเฉพาะสำหรับการใช้งานของทีม Operation ช่วยให้พนักงานสามารถเลือก Source, ปรับระดับเสียง และเรียกใช้งาน Preset ของแต่ละพื้นที่ได้อย่างสะดวก โดยไม่จำเป็นต้องเข้าถึงห้อง Rack หรือใช้งานซอฟต์แวร์ที่ซับซ้อน

อีกหนึ่งองค์ประกอบสำคัญคือการออกแบบ Redundant Audio Architecture โดยระบบสามารถสลับใช้งานระหว่าง Dante ที่เป็นสัญญาณ Digital Audio และ Analog Backup ได้ เพื่อเพิ่มความมั่นใจในการใช้งานสำหรับพื้นที่ Retail ที่เปิดให้บริการทุกวัน และรองรับกิจกรรมขนาดใหญ่ตลอดทั้งปี

ผลลัพธ์คือ ที่ Nextopia มีระบบ Backbone ที่สามารถรองรับการใช้งานได้ตั้งแต่ Background Music, Interactive Experience, Live Performance ไปจนถึง Concert และ Special Event พร้อมระบบ Multi-Zone Control ที่มีความยืดหยุ่น เสถียร และพร้อมรองรับการเติบโตของพื้นที่ Retail ระดับโลกในอนาคต

Nextopia, located on Levels 5 and 5A of Siam Paragon, is one of Thailand's largest and most innovative retail experience destinations. Designed to merge technology, creativity, and immersive customer experiences, the project spans more than 22,000 square metres, encompassing retail spaces, interactive exhibition areas, event zones, and venues for live performances and special activations.

With multiple floors serving different functions, the audio system needed to support everything from background music and public events to live performances and special activations—all within a single infrastructure that allows every zone to be managed independently from a centralized backbone.

For this project, Aura Visual System was responsible for the audio system design, while Alba Integrate carried out the installation and system integration. The backbone is built around Allen & Heath solutions, distributed and supported by Sonos Libra, creating an enterprise-grade audio infrastructure that meets today's operational demands while providing the flexibility for future expansion.

At the heart of the system is the Allen & Heath AHM-64 Audio Matrix Processor, which serves as the central platform for routing, zone control, and preset management across the entire Nextopia development, including Levels 4, 5, and 5A. An AHM-16 independently manages the Level 4 system, while the AHM-64 controls the primary retail and event spaces, enabling all areas to operate seamlessly together while maintaining independent control over each zone.

To support the venue's Audio over IP infrastructure, the project incorporates Dante Card 64×64, Dante Card 32×32, DX88-P, DT168, and DT22 Dante interfaces, connecting every equipment rack, event space, and operational area through a unified Dante Audio Network. This network-based architecture simplifies signal distribution, significantly reduces analogue cabling, and allows the system to be expanded or reconfigured with exceptional flexibility.

For live events and concerts, an Allen & Heath SQ-5 Digital Mixer is integrated directly into the backbone, allowing audio from guest artists and production teams to be routed throughout the venue via Dante. This enables operators to switch seamlessly between everyday background music and live productions without affecting audio operation in other areas.

Daily operation is handled through eleven Allen & Heath CC-10 IP Remote Controllers strategically installed throughout the project. Customized with the Allen & Heath Custom Control Application, the interfaces allow staff to select audio sources, adjust volume levels, and recall operational presets for each zone with ease—without requiring access to the equipment racks or advanced technical knowledge.

Another key element of the design is the redundant audio architecture. The system can automatically switch between Dante digital audio transport and an analogue backup path, providing additional operational security for a retail destination that operates daily while hosting large-scale events throughout the year.
